I am Alex Grang. I'm an American humanitarian aid volunteer currently in Gaza Stripe.
Hamza (whose video is attached below) is a lovely and vivacious 9 year old Palestinian boy. Before the war, when he's not playing softball or hanging out with his friends, he's loving his 2 younger siblings. Hamza has a big heart and loves his family and friends. He has recently been diagnosed with DIPG cancer and needs our help and support.
On August 11, Hamza's mother (Halima) woke up to notice that her lovely son was unsteady and mentioned feeling tingly and unwell. Concerned, she contacted a pediatrician, who had recently treated him for swimmer's ear and a middle ear infection. Although the pediatrician confirmed he still had some swimmer's ear, she was concerned about the tingling and referred them to neurology.
Halima knew that something wasn't right but they all agreed to let him rest that night and reassess in the morning. The next day, when Hamza's symptoms hadn't improved, Halima took him to Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza Strip. Tests revealed that Hamza tested positive for Lyme disease, but an MRI showed something more serious—a 5½ cm tumor in his brain near the spinal column. Due to its sensitive location, surgery wasn’t an option. A biopsy was recommended to determine the best treatment approach and to explore potential study options.
The biopsy confirmed that Hamza has DIPG, a rare and aggressive cancer. But we believe that God is a miracle worker and can do all things. They are maintaining this positive mindset and will remain hopeful.
After discussing options with the pediatric oncologist, a decision was made to take Hamza to Jordan for treatments because almost all the hospitals in Gaza have been destroyed due to the war. So Hamza cannot be treated here in Gaza because there is no functioning hospital here that can treat DIPG cancer.
The Palestinian family will need not only help to cover medical expenses but also meals and travel expenses.
Donations are to be sent via cryptocurrency because banks are not functioning due to the war.
Below are the wallet addresses for receiving donations:
Bitcoin (BTC): bc1qhk45jelpyyj2eafnh0g3gefaeu27uq5c27jvzm

I appeal to everyone who comes across Hamza's story to help to save his life.
The family is so grateful for your support as they wish to start this journey in a short period.
Thanks.
Alex Grang.
