Configure a mail client

Use your e-mailbox with Outlook, Thunderbird or any mail client on a PC, PDA, phone or any other compatible platform. eno allows you to use the IMAP, POP and SMTP ports. Access to these ports is essential for this kind of program.

Download and install a mail client

If not already done on your PC, you must download and install a mail client.
For mobile platforms, you can use the embedded program.

Configure your mobile phone or application

Here are the instructions to configure the eno e-mail service on your phone or smartphone.

For Android:
Go to Applications > Settings > Accounts & sync > E-mail > Add Account > Other (POP3/IMAP) or Manual Setup.

For iOS (iPhone or iPad):
Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account > Other.

For Windows Phone:
Go to Applications > Settings > E-mail+Accounts > Add Account > Other account.

Fill in the fields according to the information provided below. The field names or menus may vary depending on the version.

Server settings

Add an account to your software with the settings below. The SMTP server allows to send e-mail. To receive mail, you can choose between IMAP and POP.

Username: your e-mail address
Password: your account password
IMAP port: 143
POP port: 110
SMTP port: 587
Encryption (optional): TLS (STARTTLS)

Special folders for IMAP:
Inbox path (root directory): leave empty or "INBOX" depending on mail client
Sent items path: "Sent" or "INBOX.Sent" depending on mail client
Drafts path: "Drafts" or "INBOX.Drafts" depending on mail client
Deleted items path: "Trash" or "INBOX.Trash" depending on mail client
Spam path: "Junk" or "INBOX.Junk" depending on mail client

In case of difficulties:
If the server does not respond, your IP address was probably blacklisted for security due to multiple misconnections. In this case, you have to recheck and correct the wrong parameters and wait a few hours for the blacklisting to be lifted.
If the non-response persists especially on SMTP, your ISP or VPN may block some ports. In this case, please contact their customer service to find out what to do.

Send and receive

The SMTP server is the server allowing you to send e-mails.
The IMAP and POP servers are the servers allowing you to receive your e-mails in two different ways. Choose which one you want to configure.

The POP enables you to retrieve a copy of your e-mails in the mail client while deleting or not them on the server. You handle your e-mails partly offline and save data exchange with the server. This protocol is interesting if you have a limited connection or if you do not want to keep your e-mails on the server. Furthermore, the POP retrieves your e-mails only from the inbox folder. You should therefore occasionally check your spam folder or disable your filters (including the anti spam) and use those of your mail client instead.

The IMAP deals directly with the server. Any operation will be reflected immediately if you are online or during the next connection, if you are offline. Beyond your inbox, for your convenience, if you software allows, you can use your existing folders (drafts, sent, trash…).
